Our Founder Noel Fitzjohn has been obsessed by food since the 1950s. Now over 60 years later (sorry Noel) we are proud to purvey some of the finest mustard, salt, vinegar, pate, free range and foraged foods on the planet. Some foods and ingredients are especially imported but most are made in our cottage kitchen in East Sussex and sold from our stall on Borough Market and here on our website.
