Our Founder Noel Fitzjohn has been obsessed by food since the 1950s when he was taken by his parents around dark, exotic smelling shops with the heady flavours of locust beans and tiger nuts, mingled with cinnamon and cloves. Now over 60 years later we are proud to purvey some of the finest mustard, salt, vinegar, pate, free range and foraged foods on the planet especially imported, made in our cottage kitchen in East Sussex and sold from our stall in Borough Market.
